Specs: * HP Compaq Presario V3131TU * Intel Core Duo T2050 @ 1.60GHz dual-core CPU * 2 x 1GB DDR2 dual-channel 2GB RAM (upgradeable to 4GB) * New original keyboard * 14.1" display size (1280x800 16:10 screen resolution) * 1 x FireWire (IEEE 1394) * 1 x S-Video (connect to normal TV) * 1 x VGA (connect to projector) * 3 x USB 2.0 * 1 x SD/MMC/XD/MS/MSP card reader * 1 x ExpressCard54 slot (for expansion of ports) * 802.11 b/g WLAN * 10/100 (Fast Ethernet) LAN * Altec Lansing stereo speakers * Built-in stereo microphones * 3-day personal warranty (I will checksum the hardware so don't try anything funny) Pros: * Lightweight and portable * FireWire port for connecting professional audio/video devices rarely seen in laptops in this price range. * S-Video output is also a very rare port; you can plug into just about any TV. * Altec Lansing stereo speakers sound good everywhere. * Built-in stereo microphones are high quality and great for Skype. * 1st generation Intel dual-core CPU more powerful than netbooks, Pentium-Ms and even some Pentium dual-cores. Cons: * No Webcam * No Bluetooth Problems: * No hard disk. * Battery backup ~1hr if charged overnight/whole day otherwise 5-10 mins. * DVDRW may not work (not tested). * Touchpad buttons slightly unresponsive (tap is OK). Best used for: * Mobile multimedia workstation. Fit this with a 7200RPM or SSD drive and you have a cheap lightweight mobile audio/video recording studio. The problems are not major problems. Absolutely working and running fine (I am using with pendrive OS). Cosmetic condition 8/10 because of brand new original keyboard. Memory, processor and video checked and stress-tested. All ports tested working fine. Please do not compare with netbooks, Atom or Pentium-M CPUs - this is much more powerful than those. Performance is on par with latest low-end ultraportables. If everything were alright this would sell for 15,000Tk. Bought and used in Singapore. |
