MiJia Induction Cooker by Xiaomi is very unique in the market. Its maximum power is 2100W and has 99-levels for power adjustment, which means the cooking power increment is roughly 20W. It has an external temperature probe that comes in direct contact with the base of cookware to determine the cooking temperature. The induction cooker has built-in Wifi connecting to your home router and allows control via a mobile app. The induction cooker looks modern and stylish. For the control, there is 2 buttons and a turning dial. The dial has an OLED display to show the cooking menu. The internal firmware is upgradable via Wifi. Besides the built-in cooking programs, you can downloads 100+ programs online and even set your own cooking program. The cooking can be controlled by power or by temperature (40-80°C, 110-190°C). It may be the first mass-market induction cooker offering this feature. The temperature probe is quite sensitive and the induction cooker can maintain the cooking temperature fairly constantly and is suitable for low-temperature cooking (Sous Vide). I performed a temperature test by programming the cooker at 60°C and the test result showed the water temperature varied between 58-62°C. The result is very impressive. Cooking temperature and timing are very important for cooking a perfect dish. MiJia Induction cooking allows user-defined program on setting both temperature and cooking time. It makes cooking a lot easier for many people. MiJia Induction Cooker by Xiaomi is currently available in China only and the user interface is in Chinese.
