This detector is equipped with an 8” diameter concentric waterproof search coil. This lightweight, ruggedly constructed search coil can be fully submerged into water. The bottom portion of the S-Rod can also be submerged, but the electronics control housing and the search coil cable plug connection into the housing must be kept dry.

Advanced Notch Discrimination - Removes Junk - Finds Treasure!
The designers at Bounty Hunter have removed all the guess work. They have preset the discrimination to make treasure hunting fun. Iron, foil and aluminum junk targets are automatically removed while good targets are accepted. Do you have a special item you are looking to find OR do you have a better idea of what you want to reject? No problem! Just press the large Notch button to instantly accept or reject any category of target that you see along the Target Category Arc at the top of the display screen.

Exceptional Sensitivity - Leave No Target Behind.
On the right side of the display screen you will notice the Sensitivity Level Indicator. Just press the Sensitivity button to quickly increase or decrease the sensitivity of this easy to use detector. The friendly and intuitive design allows you to adjust the sensitivity from 1 to 6. The higher the sensitivity the greater depth and performance you will achieve. At start up, the default sensitivity setting is level 4.

Jumbo LCD Target Identification Display Discover What Lies Below
The Bounty Hunter Lone Star Pro features a large, easy to read display that will identify the target before you dig it! The display is easy to read outdoors and measures a full 3 inches by 1.5 inches. You will notice that targets are broken out in to 9 distinct Target ID categories. The display will identify common targets such as iron, foil, nickels, soda can pull tabs, pennies, dimes, quarters etc with a graphic indicator icon. The advanced identification features found on the Lone Star Pro will help you dig less trash and find more treasures. Make the most of your time in the field with the Bounty Hunter Lone Star Pro. This is a motion detector. When objects are detected, the detector will emit a sound. A segment will illuminate along the Target Conductivity Arc. The illuminated segment indicates the Target-ID of the last object detected. This detector has fast target response and is able to detect different objects in very close proximity to each other.

Visual Battery Level Indicator
An easy to view gauge shows the current status of your batteries at all times. The detector requires a single 9-volt Alkaline battery (battery not included). Expect 20 to 25 hours of life from a 9-volt alkaline battery. The battery icon has three segments plus an outline segment. The amount of battery voltage for an ALKALINE battery is indicated with one, two or three bars. The Energizer Industrial Alkaline 9 Volt Battery is recommended.

Visual Target Depth Indicator - See How Deep Your Target Is!
Coin-sized objects will be detected up to 8” deep. The 3-arrow graphic indicator is calibrated to coin-sized objects. Objects other than coins will still register on the 3-segment depth scale, but the depth indication will be relative. For example, all 3 arrows illuminated could indicate a coin buried 8” deep, but could also be a very large object several feet deep. Use the Depth Indicator in conjunction with the Conductivity Arc to gain more information.

Three Tone Audio Target Identification System:
While the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is very accurate in identifying buried objects, you may not be looking at the screen as you walk over an item. The Lone Star Pro has 3 audio tones and will be your first alert to a buried object. The detector will provide 1 of 3 sounds for any metal object detected: a low, medium or high tone. This audio feedback system will first alert you to the presence of an object. Then look to the LCD display screen, to show in vivid details, what you have located. The detector has up to three different tones, depending on the object detected.
