People who are looking to go overseas and would like to learn English need to realize that just getting a good ILTS score is not good enough to get a good job or be accepted in the social context of the particular country they are going to. CLT (Communicative language teaching) is the most important way of learning English as a second language, it is widely used in Japan & Korea but we have been slow on understanding the concept. This teaching method concentrates on NFS "national functional syllabus" which are very important for social interaction and teaching is not organised in terms of grammatical structure but rather of "notions" & "functions. For example, Australians speaks English in a total different way than Americans, their words, accent, cultural differences and values which are different then each other & very important to understand, and if you are not aware of it, you will not progress as far, no matter how smart you are or how many certificates you have, you have to know their slangs, greetings, their way of life the type of things that makes them proud of who they are. I left Bangladesh when I was in Class-V in 1993, from there, I lived in Auckland, New Zealand for 4 years, then I moved to Gold Coast Australia and finished my High School in 1999, in 2001, I moved to San Francisco California USA, did my bachelors on Business Administration and worked in marketing, I lived in Vancouver Canada from 07-08 I moved back to Bangladesh in 08 got married and now living here, in between that time apart from those country I have been to China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Dubai.
