Yeah replacing the board is going to be your best bet in this case. It's possible that it's repairable. But there is also a bit of damage around the PMIC area and places that feed power into the CPU. Which could spell real bad news for the CPU. Buying a new board online is probably going to run you a few hundred bucks, keep in mind that the power button/touch ID is paired to your board. So if you want Touch ID to work you would also need one of those which is already paired to the board since Apple is the only one that can pair them. |
